Legend
The name of General Magnus is always used with respect whenever it is mentioned, even by his enemies. He became involved in the art of warfare from an unusually young age and used his natural strategic skills to advance rapidly within the military hierarchy.
Personally training the troops that he commanded allowed him to gain many glorious victories even when fighting at a numerical disadvantage and with tired men.
Even the occasional defeat turned curiously to his advantage. When he lost against the Barbarians of the North their new-found confidence encouraged them to attack the neighboring camps of Orcs. This eliminated two threats at the same time. It’s hard to say if this was just luck or brilliant strategy.
